Facilitates the application of slings.

The Liko HandySheet facilitate the application of slings by reducing friction against the underlying surface. They can be used both for patients with average weight and bariatric patients and are manufactured in a high quality low-friction fabric, which keeps its good sliding capabilities even after a long period in use.

HandySheet is an excellent aid for facilitating the application of slings, especially for bariatric patients, pain sensitive patients and patients with contractures.

HandySheet is available in two sizes, of which the smaller model, Short, is mainly used to facilitate placement of the sling in a wheelchair or under the patient’s legs.

The larger model, Long, is also used to aid application of a sling, though under a patient lying down. This model has loops on the upper edge with which the sheet can be secured to the bed; thereby, only two caregivers are required.

Special features of products in the Handy series include:

  • Fabric of very high quality that retains its extremely low friction, even after repeated laundering.
  • The longer models of HandySheet have loops on the upper edge, which means they can be easily secured to the bed. Therefore, fewer personnel are required. This is a unique feature of HandySheet, and Liko has registered the design.
  • The short sheets have small pockets, which are sewn on and which facilitate application in, e.g. a tight-fitting wheelchair. This is also a unique, registered design feature.
  • We have also developed unique working methods that facilitate application of the sheet and improve comfort for the patient. With our method, the patient doesn’t need to be turned in bed to allow the sheet to be positioned.

The sheets are always delivered in sets of two and are normally used in pairs.

Transfers with HandySheet should be smooth and easy. If the task seems heavy, we recommend the use of other lifting and transfer assistive devices in our range.

HandySheet Short is here applied the patients back so that the slings slides down easier. HandySheet Long helps applying a sling for a supine patient. The loops on HandySheet Long can easily be attached to the bed.
